Another Toyota product has been subjected to a recall, although this time it's a make and model that is no longer on sale. It's the 2003-2007 Lexus LX 470.

39,000 LX 470s are being recalled due to a faulty steering shaft. Apparently, if the wheel is turned to full lock after too many shocks to the system, the shaft can disengage. No accidents have been reported so far.

Lexus will begin fixing afflicted models in the middle of August.

Owners can call 1-800-25-LEXUS or visit www.lexus.com/recall for more information.

  1. That's not a matter of astonish. The steering problem of Lexus is not a big problem and I hope Toyota will further able to solve this small problem. On the otherhand, through this recall Lexus will be successful to get new customers.
